Our whole carob pods are naturally grown in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Harvested by hand and carefully selected, they reflect the traditional way carob has been cultivated in this Mediterranean landscape for generations.
Carob trees thrive in dry, mineral-rich soils and rely mainly on natural rainfall. This gives the pods their naturally sweet flavour and firm texture. After harvest, the pods are gently prepared and light roasted to preserve their natural character.
Whole carob pods can be enjoyed in different ways. They are ideal as a natural snack, for preparing carob infusions, or for grinding into powder as a traditional cocoa alternative. Naturally caffeine-free and free from additives, they offer a simple and honest ingredient rooted in tradition.
